Central compliance that reduces risk

The biggest complexity to operating under the NAECI working rule agreement is having robust processes in place to manage compliance. Where traditional de-centralised NAECI solutions are used, this becomes the responsibility of the main contractor to ensure every subcontractor on-site is adhering to the IR strategy set on site. With our centralised approach and on-site project team, we can proactively manage compliance and adherence to your IR strategy, supporting your IR Management team. With our Management Information and transparency of process you can assure the Site or Project Owner that their project is being delivered compliantly under the working rule agreement.

A comprehensive approach to compliance

We manage each project with compliance at the core of our operations. This includes:

  • Fully auditable and ISO9001 accredited recruitment processes

  • Qualification and grading checks for every worker

  • Workforce mobilisation including issuing a NAECI compliant contract, site induction and Welplan coordination

  • Weekly NAECI compliant payroll calculation and management service

  • Site Auditor liaison and completion of weekly and monthly reporting

  • Industrial relations support including disciplinary investigation, grievance and redundancy processes

  • Environmental, health and safety audits

Supporting compliance on-site

Our team work with the site’s designated industrial relations team and union representatives because we understand that a project performs well when there are good relations with all parties involved. We communicate fully with trade unions at all times, keeping them informed of labour planning and any on site issues that occur within the workforce.

As a result we have significantly reduced industrial relations issues on several sites, with positive impact reports from client IR teams.

Managing worker compliance

All workers entering the site will undertake comprehensive checks prior to being added to the project labour pool. This includes all the necessary legal and safety measures to check their suitability for work:

  • Operating and site licences

  • Training certifications and safety passports

  • Trade qualifications

  • Driving licences

  • Professional registrations and memberships

  • Full identity check, including eligibility to work in the UK

  • Reference checks

Processing compliant payroll

We’ve delivered NAECI compliant payroll solutions to more than 75 clients, and our payroll service on the TeesRep project rewarded us with the Back Office Team of the Year accolade at the 2021 TALiNT International Annual Recruitment Awards.

We’ll process timesheets and generate a weekly payroll service for workers, with experienced NAECI payroll advisors on-hand to manage any questions and queries workers may have. Handling any statutory entitlements, pension and Welplan deductions before making the necessary notifications to HMRC and other UK Government departments as required.

Our centralised approach means the Site Auditor has a single point of contact for all payroll queries and a consistent approach to application of NAECI payroll. This also reduces IR issues on site as every subcontractor will apply the NAECI payroll in the same way.
